tom petty announces summer tour dates!

I haven’t stopped smiling since I heard this fantastic news. Very few things in this wide world make me as happy as when Tom Petty announces tour dates. Tom and The Heartbreakers are arguably the most solid live rock & roll band around these days. If you’ve never seen them live you certainly don’t want to miss this tour. It covers pretty much the entire country, so you really have no excuse. And maybe someday, if you’re really good readers, I’ll tell you the story of my TP & the HB’s backstage adventures – but I think I might be saving that one for my memoirs :) For now, I’ll definitely be at both Texas shows and hopefully a few others as well. You could get yourself pumped by listening to virtually any of the tracks off his recent Live Anthology (an all around killer album) but definitely check out “Learning to Fly” from Bonnaroo 2006. Beautiful.
