Here are some of my favorite places on the web for music related goodness, I’ll keep this updated as I find more worth sharing:
The Daily Chord
Run by the good folks at South by Southwest, this daily roundup of top music related articles on the net is an invaluable source for staying up to date.
Wolfgang’s Vault/Concert Vault
This is just about my favorite place on the internet. Based around Bill Graham’s extensive archives, this is an amazing online resource for vintage concert posters and memorabilia as well as streaming and downloading vintage concert audio and visual. They just switched over to a fee-based model but trust me, the $50 a year is more than worth it for access to this treasure trove.
Absolutely everything you could need to know about the latest concerts, tours, festivals, and more.
Rock’s Back Pages
This really is the online library of rock writing. They have everything. Most of their content is for paying subscribers only but they always have new offerings in their Free on RBP section. Great stuff.
Morrison Hotel Gallery
This gallery, dedicated to the work of rock photographers, has almost all of its collection digitized for hours of viewing pleasure, and wistful dreaming of the day you can afford to buy an actual print. If you’re ever near one of their locations in NYC or California I highly recommend stopping in – I had the insane privilege of running into the legendary Henry Diltz at their SoHo gallery!
Today in Rock & Roll History
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s daily offering of rock birthdays, chart toppers, and general trivia.
The Ronnie Wood Show
Every week Ron Wood plays music he likes for an hour, and you can stream it online. Dig it.
An aggregate of music news and commentary written by music bloggers from across the web, new articles published daily!
